Best Faux Foliage for the Holidays

I have to tell you guys, David’s family has the cutesssttt tradition of driving to Wisconsin to cut down their own Christmas tree, “Griswold Family Christmas style (if you are not familiar with that movie please stop what you’re doing and rent it - NOW). They’ve done this sweet tradition pretty much every year since David was little and coming from a family full of faux-fans, this is so cool to me! BUT having a cat who thinks every piece of furniture is a jungle gym and a puppy that thinks everything is a snack… a real tree just isn’t in the cards for us (YET). Plus, I will say, I love that I can keep my holiday decor around just a littlleee longer because I don’t have to worry about it dying. For now and the foreseeable future, I’ll happily decorate my beautiful faux tree, light a cedar candle, and call it a day.

I spent a lot of time sifting through the many options out there and curated a selection of the best affordable faux trees, wreaths, and garlands to get you ready to start decking those halls!!

TREES

First up we have eight great faux tree options that are super pretty, realistic, and affordable (every single option is under $200). Personally, I prefer a more natural style of faux trees and I LOVE a pre-lit tree - honestly just makes life a lot easier and I can focus on the more fun elements like ornaments and garland! Every single option is a great investment piece because they’re classic and won’t ever go out of style!

Can you guess which one we have in our house?! …. it’s // 08 ! We went super classic this year and needed something a little slimmer for the alcove we have in our current apartment. The fluffy branches and prelit lights (plus the price) made this a no brainer. I also LOVE //01 … the shape is so natural and the color is fantastic. I’ve also seen a ton of flocked trees this year! //04 is a perfect option if your looking for that “heavily-flocked” look OR if your looking for something a little lighter, //03 is also super pretty and natural!

WREATHS

Everyone loves a pretty wreath and this year there are SO many good ones out there. I think I had the most fun with this round up!! Make sure to let me know which is your favorite.

My favorites are //04, //05, and //09 — The bells, berries, and realistic-looking details make these holiday showstoppers. Honestly, I want every single one!!

GARLAND

Garland is arguably the best kind of holiday decor and is super versatile. I like to use garland on the mantle, around window and door frames, as a table centerpiece, and draped around my dining room chandelier for endless amounts of holiday whimsy. Don’t be afraid to mix different types of garland for a larger or more textured arrangement - you can never have enough. In my opinion, when in doubt just add more garland.

//04 is a huge seller this year for good reason! I love the natural mix of pine and eucalyptus. Unfortunately, the garland I have in my home is discontinued but //05 is the next closest option and made by the same company! //07 has the cutest little berries mixed in the with leaves and //01 is PRE-LIT — ah! they’re all so good.

WHEW! That was a lot of faux foliage! Honestly, doing this roundup got me really excited for the holidays and I cannot wait to start decorating! Are you starting to decorate yet? Do you have any fun holiday traditions you do with your family? I’d love to hear from you!
