13 Unique Valentines Day Ideas

IMG_4409 3.JPG

I’ve always been a huge fan of Valentines Day! The flowers, the chocolate, the cheesy romantic movies — I’m hopelessly obsessed and it’s all David’s fault! Ever since high school he’s found creative ways to made date- night special — even if we’re just staying in.

I recruited his help to come up with 13 unique Valentines Day activities for you and your loved ones! Scroll on through for all the best ideas:

Sunrise/ Sunset Watch

If you and your significant other are both working on Valentines Day, wake up a before the alarm or leave work early and catch the sunset with a glass of wine!

Rom-com Movie Marathon

Is it cheesy? YES. But do you love it?! DOUBLE YES! Make a combined list of some of your favorite romantic comedies, pop some popcorn, and settle in for some cheesy fun!

Virtual Workout Class

Get the blood pumping together with a virtual workout class! Me and David honestly love working out together (yes, we’re THAT annoying couple).

Bike Ride (weather permitting)

If the wreath permits, rent some bikes (or take the bikes down that have been hiding in your garage) and take a bike ride together! It’s a great way to see your city in a different way and you’ll get a nice workout in too.

Trip to the local Candy Shop

Valentine’s Day is a day of sweets after all. Go to your local candy shop (or ice-cream parlor) and stock up on ALL the goodies.

Exchange Love Letters

Instead of going for the drug-store card, write each other love letters instead! I have kept every note David’s ever written me and I think it’s soooo romantic to look back on!

Breakfast in Bed

Such a classic option but one of my ultimate favorites. Roast some coffee, toast the toast and spend the morning watching cartoons in bed — sounds like heaven to me!!

Game Night

Monopoly, Go Fish, Charades, TWISTER?! whatever your game night vibe may be - make Valentines Day a game night for two!

Romantic Bath for Two

Cue the bubbles! We personally don’t have a bath big enough for the two of us BUT if you are so lucky…put on some romantic music and enjoy a relaxing soak together!

Pizza Picnic

Move the furniture, spread a blanket out on the floor, and order some pizza! This is the easiest way to make a causal evening at home feel a little special.

Virtual Museum Tour

This is a greta time to support your local art galleries or museums and take a virtual tour!

Karaoke Party for Two

Take out that karaoke machine collecting dust in your closet OR order this amazing microphone (I got this for Christmas and it rocks) and jam out to your favorite hits! My go-to karaoke song is Don’t Go Breaking My Heart and David’s go-to hit is Mr. Brightside (LOL)

Recreate your First Date

Think back to your very first date and recreate it the best you can! If we did this, David and I would watch Clash of the Titans (horrible movie btw), drink peppermint hot chocolates, and avoid direct eye contact at all costs. (:

how are you guys planning on spending the holiday?!
