Affordable Vintage-style Rugs + A Rug Sizing Guide!
If you asked me what the most asked about items in our home are, the answer would be: my vintage-style rugs. I love the richness they bring to every room and how they easily allow me to incorporate lots of color with a single rug. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing more beautiful than a centuries old, authentic vintage rug; HOWEVER, not everyone has the budget to fill their homes with those beauties - I know we certainly don’t. These days there are so many great options that look and feel like the real thing without the sticker-shock . I rounded up nine of my favorite vintage-style rugs down below at unbeatable prices. We currently have number four in our guest bedroom and number nine in our living room.
My biggest tip when buying a rug would be to order a larger size than you think. One of the most common mistakes people make when purchasing a rug is ordering a size too small. This mistake can actually make your room feel disjointed. Take the time to measure your space and make sure that at least the front legs of every piece of furniture will be on the rug. If choosing between sizes, always opt for the the larger option - I promise it will be worth the extra expense every time.
