Our New Outdoor Dining Set & A Striped Umbrella Roundup

We have been super busy prepping all our outdoor spaces in order to enjoy them this summer. I recently showed off our cute little bistro set that we set up on our front porch and now we’ve moved on to the back of the house.

We are lucky to have a beautiful lush backyard to enjoy — the previous owners of our home were avid gardeners — and it is such a lovely spot to relax on a sunny day. We have plans to install a bluestone patio in the near future but right now we just needed a little “phase one” solution in order to enjoy the current situation.

When shopping for a dining set I wanted something that would compliment the natural english-garden feel of our backyard. I found this great dining set on sale and loved the timeless feel of the black metal with the sleek modern lines.

The only thing missing was an umbrella to provide some shade!

For awhile I went back and forth on what kind of umbrella I should buy, but there’s just something about a striped pattern that makes my heart happy — do you agree?! This taupe and white striped outdoor umbrella was just what we needed to complete our dining set and achieve those english-garden vibes I was shooting for.
