Paint Guide: Our Favorite White Paint Colors
If you’ve ever attempted to paint a room white, you know that all white paint is NOT created equal. With tricky finishes and elusive undertones, the same white paint color that looks beautiful in the can often looks totally different — and yellow — on your walls.
We’ve been around the block a few times when it comes to picking out the perfect shade of white so if you’re looking to skip the trial and error and choose the best white paint color for you home, scroll on through this post for picture examples and detailed descriptions of our top six favorite white paint colors.
Benjamin Moore: Chantilly Lace
BM Chantilly Lace is your classic, crisp white paint color with minimal undertones. This white shade is pretty pure so if you’re looking for a white paint color that will really brighten a room — this could be the perfect choice for you!
Benjamin Moore: Simply White
Simply White by Benjamin Moore is a super versatile white paint color that looks great paired with both warm and cool tones. Because of this fact, this is a great paint color option for cabinetry and trim!
Sherwin-Williams: Pure White
Pure White is one of Sherwin-Williams most popular white paint colors due to its classic finish and minimal undertones. Given its’ neutral color, it is a safe option for walls, trim and moulding. We used SW Pure White throughout our condo because we wanted a bright white color that didn’t feel too cold and stark.
Sherwin-Williams: Alabaster
SW Alabaster is technically an off-white that is warm without being too creamy. If you’re looking for the perfect calming shade of white for a bedroom, SW Alabaster is a great option!
Benjamin Moore: White Dove
Benjamin Moore White Dove is a crowd favorite for good reason and is known for both its’ radiant finish and creamy grey undertones. This also happens to be the shade of white we’ve decided to use in our new home! This color looks best in spaces with lots of natural light!
Benjamin Moore: Swiss Coffee
Swiss Coffee looks just as creamy as it sounds and is the perfect warm white! It’s a great option for more traditional spaces and for pairing with other golden tones throughout your home.
