Our Elegant,Woodland Nursery Moodboard
Ta-Da! I am so excited to finally reveal the moodboard for our baby boy’s nursery! I’ve decided to officially call the theme of this space: Woodland Elegance
When thinking about the design for this room, I knew I wanted to go for something traditional to compliment the overall vibe of the house but I wasn’t really feeling the typical blue color palette. It needed to be perfectly sweet and whimsical for a nursery, but still feel sophisticated enough for David and I to enjoy. After all, we’re the ones who will be spending the most time in there!
Here’s what the room looks like right now (it’s a little rough around the edges):
Despite all the current demo dust and debris, I absolutely love this room. It’s spacious and gets the most beautiful natural light throughout the day. Plus, with the room’s front-facing views, I can already picture myself rocking baby to sleep while watching all the neighborhood activity down below.
As in the rest of the house, the floors in here are getting replaced with wide-plank natural white oak and the windows are being replaced. You can see the “before tour” and read about our plans for the rest of the house here. All the trim and window casings will also be replaced and given a fresh coat of paint.
Which brings me to the moodboard! I changed my mind on the wallpaper at the very last second and I’m so glad I did. This Pure Acorn wallpaper from Morris & Co. in the linen/ecru colorway is so perfect for baby’s nursery. The pattern feels super elegant and traditional and the little acorns and leaves create just the right amount of woodland whimsy.

Green Velvet Curtains - I think the rich fabric of these curtains will be so pretty plus their price point can’t be beat!
Brass Crib - I’ve had my eye on this crib way back before I ever got pregnant and I’m still obsessed with the vintage look.
Glider - This boucle upholstered glider was a bit of a splurge but the reviews were excellent and it will get a LOT of good use!
Acrylic Shelves - I’ve already started gathering a large collection of baby books and I’m excited to let the colorful covers take center stage with these clear acrylic shelves.
